It depends. If you take anti-inflammatory medication and sit on a really big, soft, cushiony pillow everywhere you go then hopefully it'll heal upward decently in four-sixteen weeks (trust me, there's a reason doctors say things). If you don't accept care of it, it'll hurt the residual of your life when angle down or in bad-mannered positions, so merely avoid doing anything crazy and have skillful care of information technology. I'one thousand not sure whether or non I croaky my tailbone when I fell on it while snowboarding, simply I couldn't really walk for a 24-hour interval, and and I stopped all sporting action for a calendar month or 2 and it more or less went abroad, though it still hurts sometimes.

my riding buddy broke his a while back. he was out for over ii months....had to sit on a pink cushion all the fourth dimension, looked hilarious!!! You may not like it but listen to the doctors. you don't want to restriction it again by riding prematurely. I know being injured sucks but hey, that'south life. make the best of the time you've got now.

Thanks for the advice lads. Ive been doing a lot of readin on the interweb and iv-xvi weeks seems similar the going rate. I simply dont trust doctors because the majority of them dont run into many fit people or know how fast an athlete tin can heal. You lot desire a new hazard in hurting brake your butt. Ive broken femurs ribs multiple shoulder dislocation and surgerys bones in the face up easily feet wrist colarbone ive had internal injuries and this is the most painful thing ever. I call up when I was a kid doin rodeo and one of my heros a real shootin tobaco chewin bronc ridin sob broke his ass steer wrestling. He cried like a girl for days there wasnt plenty whisky In Musadora to kill the pain. Thank love for codine and thc and Alberta Springs

takes a long fourth dimension. their is this little thing back in that location called a coccyx and it takes a lot of fourth dimension to heal. i merely bruised mine once and information technology took me 2 months. (without taking medicine). besides when yous hurt your tailbone it gets fragile fifty-fifty more each fourth dimension. so it will exist easier to hurt it once again

3 weeks and two days all the same cant even think well-nigh sitting on a bike. This is the longest fourth dimension in about 20 years I have been off a cycle. Im getting fat and crazy and drunk worse yet Ive been on the Pinkbike forums way much. Ok so whining over what is a good padded short with tailbone protection? I take seen the 661 but nothing else

Dorsum on the cycle its been virtually 6 weeks not exactly rippin it simply I can ride. I dont actually sit down much. The last time I was off a bike for more than 6 days was 1987. This was the longest 6 weeks of my life. Praise exist to the wheel gods
