Texas Chiropractic Online Education Guidelines

Texas Accepts CCEDSeminars Webinars & Online Chiropractic Courses

Specific Requirements: Texas requires 16 hours of chiropractic CE per year, due on the first day of the month in which his or her birthday occurs. Of the 16 required hours, 2 hours must be in Ethics, 1 hour in record keeping, documentation, and coding and 1 hour in risk management relevant to the practice of chiropractic in Texas. These 4 hours must be taken in live and interactive format which can be completed in our live chiropractic Webinars.

Only 6 chiropractic CE hours are required live which can be taken in our live and interactive Webinars.

10 hours may be taken in online chiropractic courses available 24/7

You can meet all your requirements by taking 10 hours of online chiropractic courses and 6 hours of chiropractic webinars.

When logged in, as long as your licenses are entered on your account, each course is clearly identified as being approved or not approved.

New Licensee Information: A chiropractic licensee who is first licensed within the 12 months immediately preceding the annual renewal date is exempt from the continuing education requirement. 8 hours of Medicare Documentation required within a year of the initial licensing date.

Texas Online Chiropractic Continuing Education Policies

For those doctors that were licensed on or after 09/01/2012, must complete 8 hours of chiropractic continuing education in coding and documentation for Medicare claims no later than one year after their initial licensure in order to be eligible to renew their licenses at their next renewal date on or following the first annual anniversary of their original licensure date. The eight hours of required continuing education in coding and documentation for Medicare claims may be counted as part of the total of 16 chiropractic continuing education hours required during the year in which the eight hours were completed.

Reporting Requirements: Chiropractic CE Sponsor Reports to State Board within 30 days. Licensee submits attendance certificates if requested by the Board.
